Our horror buddies and gurus over at Bloody Disgusting are reporting that Kate Beckinsale is attached to star in Underworld 4, which is being made in 3D, however, she is trying to have a smaller role so that she can “pass the torch” of the vampiress role to her 11-year-old daughter Lily Mo Sheen.

The Underworld series has been on a steady decline since the first film, but I now find myself in the strange predicament of being very interested in the fourth film. THR tells us John Hlavin, who previously wrote for “The Shield” has just been hired to write the fourth installment in Screen Gems/Lakeshore’s “Underworld” franchise.
