A new trailer for Salmon Fishing in the Yemen has just popped online. While the title for the movie may sound a little fishy, the movie itself is heartwarming. The film comes from Lasse Halstrom (What’s Eating Gilbert Grape) who uses a script written by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire). Salmon Fishing in the Yemen stars Ewan McGregor as a fisheries expert who believes the impossible can never be accomplished, but as the movie progresses, he begins to have faith in both the task he is assigned and in his new found relationship with his employer. The film also stars Emily Blunt. Check out the trailer for Salmon Fishing in the Yemen below. Watch it in HD at Yahoo! Movies.

A visionary sheik has a big dream — to bring salmon fishing to the desert. Willing to spare no expense, he instructs his representative to turn his dream into reality, an extraordinary feat that will require the involvement of Britain’s leading fisheries expert who happens to think the project both absurd and unachievable. That is, until the Prime Minister’s overzealous press secretary latches on for its potential as a ‘good will’ story. Now, this unlikely team will put it all on the line and embark on an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible, possible.

CBS Films will release Salmon Fishing in the Yemen into theaters on March 2nd, 2012.

Pop culture likes to think that guys are commitaphobes, being unable to say I love you or stay in a long-term relationship is just not part of the “guy code.” But not the couple in The Five-Year Engagement. The comedy comes from Nick Stoller, director of the hilarious movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and tells the story of a couple who has to constantly postpone their marriage due to changes in their lives. Promotions, moves, funerals, etc. The movie stars Jason Segel and Emily Blunt as the couple who try to get married.

Based on the trailer alone, the movie looks like it has a lot of heart and honest. Which makes it all the more relatable. It doesn’t even look like it would be over the top or quite as edgy as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, but it also embraces the same style of comedy.

Check out the trailer for The Five-Year Engagement below, and watch it in HD on Yahoo! Movies.

Beginning where most romantic comedies end, this film looks at what happens when an engaged couple keeps getting tripped up on the long walk down the aisle.

The Five-Year Engagement also stars Rhys Ifans, Alison Brie, Chris Pratt, Kevin Hart, Mindy Kaling and Chris Parnell. The movie is scheduled to open in theaters on April 27th, 2012.

Starring Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Anthony Mackie, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Terrence Stamp The Adjustment Bureau is an upcoming sci-fi thriller loosely based on the short story “Adjustment Team” from acclaimed novelist and writer Philip K. Dick.

David Norris, a former Fordham University basketball player and charismatic United States Congressperson who seems destined for national political stardom. He meets a beautiful ballet dancer named Elise Sellas (Emily Blunt), only to find that strange circumstances keep them from becoming romantically involved. Norris discovers forces are at work to keep them apart, and he peels the layers to find out why. The action takes place in various places in Manhattan.

The trailer looks great and more specifically how charming and wonderful Emily Blunt looks and acts in her role. I love movies based on Dick’s work and though some are more miss than hit…this thriller looks to have a middle ground that will appeal to some and not to others. I like the first trailer though and find it a very interesting movie more so than other Dick films that seem to have the futuristic sheen to it whereas this movie doesn’t it seems very real, very grounded.

Loosely based on the Philip K. Dick short story, “Adjustment Team” a smooth-talking congressman’s political future is thrown in doubt by uncontrollable events and the arrival in his life of a mysterious ballerina whom he falls in love. Starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt this is a sci-fi thriller from George Nolfi.

It seems we are edging closer and closer to the casting of Steve Rogers and perhaps the revelation on who the female lead is will give us an insight to that coveted leader of the Avengers. As of right now, the time of this article, Channing Tatum is being pursued by the studio putting him on a new short list that includes Ryan Phillippe, who was rumored yesterday and the aforementioned Mike Vogel, Garrett Hedlund, Chris Evans and Wilson Bethel.

We were told in one of those stories that the actors are testing with actresses being sought out for the lead female role, to test chemistry among other things. We have been wondering who some of those actresses were and now we know courtesy of Deadline New York. The site is noting that the studio wants an American actor to play Captain America, putting the ax on my choices of Liam Hemsworth or Luke Ford. However they are looking at British actresses Keira Knightley, Alice Eve and Emily Blunt for the female role.

The site also reports that Blunt is their favorite, this would make some sense as she was the studios original choice for Black Widow in Iron Man 2, a role that went to Scarlett Johansson, after Blunt had her contract exercised at Universal for Gulliver’s Travels.

The female role is that of Peggy Carter, a girlfriend of Captain America during World War II. She was also an American agent serving with the French Resistance. She has standard military training and is handy with a gun. She is also a competent spy and detective. Her niece Sharon Carter becomes a prominent figure later on in Captain’s life as she works for The Avengers and occasionally dates Steve Rogers.

Born during the Great Depression, Steve Rogers grew up a frail youth in a poor family. Horrified by the newsreel footage of the Nazis in Europe, Rogers was inspired to enlist in the army. However, because of his frailty and sickness, he was rejected. Overhearing the boy’s earnest plea, General Chester Phillips offered Rogers the opportunity to take part in a special experiment… Operation: Rebirth. After weeks of tests, Rogers was at last administered the ‘Super-Soldier Serum’ and bombarded by ‘vita-rays.’ Steve Rogers emerged from the treatment with a body as perfect as a body can be and still be human. Rogers was then put through an intensive physical and tactical training program. Three months later, he was given his first assignment as Captain America. Armed with his indestructible shield and and battle savvy, Captain America has continued his war against evil both as a sentinel of liberty and leader of the Avengers.

Sunshine Cleaning debuted at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. It took a little while for the film to get distribution, but I think it was worth the wait. In Sunshine Cleaning, Amy Adams plays the role of Rose Lorkowski, a former high school cheerleader turned single mom working a dead-end job as a house cleaner. She is also involved in an affair with her high school sweetheart, a married cop named Mac. Mac is portrayed by the versatile actor Steve Zahn. Mac suggests that Rose enter the business of cleaning crime scenes because it is profitable. Around this time, her slacker sister Norah (played by Emily Blunt) is fired from her latest job, so they go in business together. In the beginning, the sisters are amateurish and have to overcome their gag reflex at the sight of blood and dead bodies.

Eventually, they become a solid team, and begin to develop a bond. Amy Adams is a lot less perky in this film than she was in Enchanted, but she still has a very likable quality. Emily Blunt is equally excellent as Norah, the flaky sister that still lives with their dad, portrayed by veteran actor Alan Arkin. The English-born Blunt delivers a decent American accent, and as the film progresses, you begin to see the layers of her character and the events that have shaped her. Alan Arkin also has some great scenes with Jason Spevack, who plays Amy Adam’s son. The film has an excellent supporting cast, including Clifton Collins, Jr. as Winston, the one-armed owner of the shop where Rose and Norah buy their cleaning supplies. Winston also helps them learn all the rules and regulations so they can become a legitimate business.

24‘s Mary Lynn Rajskub also delivers a superb performance as Lynn, a woman who develops a unique relationship with Norah. The premise may sound dark and morbid, and there are certainly lots of gruesome shots, but the overall message of the film seems to be one of hope and fighting for your dreams. As Rose, Amy Adams undergoes a metamorphosis from a timid person trapped in a bad situation to a strong, confident person who begins to take ownership of her life and deal with situations. Personally, I enjoyed her a lot more in this film than I did in Doubt. I felt that her nun character in that film was simply a toned-down version of her princess from Enchanted. Amy Adams plays a regular working class woman, but she still retains some of the charm and determination that she has become known for. Also, the relationship between Adams and Blunt is conflicted and resembles the interaction of real-life siblings.

My only complaint is that I would have liked to have seen more of Carl, the rival crime scene cleaner portayed by Kevin Chapman. Sunshine Cleaning, like the name implies, is a feel-good film about people who clean up dead bodies. That premise may sound absurd, but it works. This is an indie film, so it may not come to theaters near you, or it may have already left your city. I highly recommend everyone checking this out, even if you have to wait for it on DVD. It’s one of my favorite movies of the year so far.

Total Score: 7 out of 10

Amanda Peet is rejoining her Saving Silverman co-star Jack Black in a new version of the classic tale Gulliver’s Travels. Peet also joins Emily Blunt and Jason Segal in the film directed by Monsters Vs. Aliens co-director Rob Letterman and written by Nicholas Stoller and Joe Stillman.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is a modern retelling that follows travel writer Lemuel Gulliver, who heads to an assignment in the Bermuda Triangle only to end up on the secret island of Lilliput, home to a population of industrious tiny people. Peet will play Black’s editor and potential romantic interest.

I really like Amanda Peet she has played dramatic and comedic very well in her career and joining an already good cast is something will make this film a lot more marketable in my opinion.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall was so successful it warranted a spin-off with Russell Brand’s character Aldus Snow. We already new that Jonah Hill and Brand were in the film but now the spin-off has casted the female lead. Moviehole is reporting that Russell Brand revealed on an Australian morning show that Emily Blunt will be his co-star in Get Him to the Greek, the title for the spin-off film. Here’s an excerpt from the site’s report.

Brand, who says the spin-off came about because of his keenness to rename the first film “Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Remembering Russell Brand”, told local radio that Emily Blunt will be his female co-star in the pic. She’ll play a pop musician (who no doubt can’t resist the charm of the long-haired lout) who “may duet” with Snow in the laffer. Should be a good coupling.

The film revolves around Jonah Hill’s brand new character helping get Brand’s Snow – now in a drug-fueled stupor – from London to Los Angeles for a show at the Greek Theater. Note – BLunt will be starring with former Sarah Marshall star, Jason Segal in Fox’s Gulliver’s Travels.

So the first bad casting rumor to really circle the Iron Man 2, is the fact that Scarlett Johansson may be replacing Emily Blunt in Iron Man 2 as the assassin, Black Widow.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel is seeking to replace her with actress Scarlett Johansson.

At this time, Marvel is not commenting on the story. Sources close to the actress have confirmed that Johansson has met with filmmakers, and is very interested in taking on the role of Russian superspy turned Black Widow Natasha Romanoff. At this time, Blunt’s representatives insist that she is trying to make both projects fit into her schedule. Gulliver’s Travels is to start shooting on April 15th. Though, Iron Man 2 does not have a shooting script nor a set start date.

I really liked the casting of Blunt as Romanoff, but like we reported a few weeks ago, Blunt is contractually obligated to the Gulliver’s Travels picture due to Fox holding an option on the actress that was part of her deal when she co-starred in The Devil Wears Prada and the studio wants to invoke it to see that she takes part in the giant tale therefore the Iron Man 2 role was trying to be worked out in terms of scheduling.

So if Blunt has to drop out, Scarlett would be in based on this story, which I think is a terrible second choice. I like Johansson but certainly do not think she could pull off a Russian accent nor the character of Nastasha Romanoff. I truly beleive this downgrades the movie’s ensemble a lot if they cast her, lets hope they can reach a scheduling deal with Blunt.

Gulliver’s Travels is a humorous re-imagining of the classic Jonathan Swift tale starring Jack Black as the title character. Blunt will play a Lilliputian princess and Gulliver’s love interest, while Segel will play Horatio, Gulliver’ best friend from Lilliput.

According to Variety, Emily Blunt and Jason Segel have joined the cast of Gulliver’s Travels.

This news may be bittersweet for comic book geeks, however, because it decreases her chances of playing the Black Widow Natasha Romanoff in Iron Man 2. Blunt’s reps are still trying to work out the scheduling. Gulliver’s Travels films in the United Kingdom in late March, while Iron Man 2 begins shooting in early April in California.

Personally, I am a little more excited about this film now. I like Jack Black, but I loved Eily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada, and Jason Segel is great every week as Marshall on How I Met Your Mother and in various Apatow films. Hopefully, they can work out a schedule and both films will be able to “pass the Blunt”.

This is great if it happens as she has the sensuality, look and attitude to play the character of Natasha Romanoff and with Rourke and Rockwell circling the cast as well. Iron Man 2 may perhaps be the biggest movie of 2010.

I can’t wait for Marvel to comment on this and let us know about Blunt’s involvement.
