The BBC is reporting another team up with director Danny Boyle and writer Simon Beaufoy for an interesting concept that only Danny Boyle can make interesting. This marks the potential third collaboration between the director and writer tying previous Boyle collaborator, Alex Garland (Sunshine, 28 Days Later and The Beach).

So this has been rumored for sometime that Lost co-creator, Damon Lindelof, would develop the acclaimed fantasy series from Stephen King. Now its coming out that he and his partner in crime, JJ Abrams, will not be adapting the acclaimed series.

Fox Searchlight and Danny Boyle are teaming up to make 127 Hours. The film will
tell the tale of mountaineer Aron Ralston.
Boyle will be directing this film which should go into production in late 2010. At present the director has written a treatment, and writer Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire) is in talks to write the script.
