Well now it seems AICN had some concept art that coincides with the same description Mike Sampson over at JoBlo gave and Sampson even commented on them saying “Ain’t It Cool posted some art today that aren’t just fan mockups – these are the real deal.” These came to AICN via a reader called Broly’s Legend, who contextualized these pieces.

Thanks to our reader and friend Corey Anderson for passing along this story to us.

We even posted about it a few months ago when Hasbro announced the revival of the toyline.

Now AICN is reporting that Jurassic Park III director Joe Johnston, who’s next project is Marvel’s Captain America film, chatted with them about the film while on the set of the Wolfman ( his most recent film).

“There is a great story for the fourth one that I would be interested in getting involved with and it’s nothing like the first three. It sort of takes the franchise off in a completely different direction, which is the only way I would want to get involved.”

“We’ve done that and it’s been done three times. Why would anybody go back to that island? It was hard enough to figure out the second and third reason for them to go, but it would take it off in a whole other trilogy basically, but when it gets to that level it’s sort of about studios and Steven’s thing and who knows. I think we are at that point where we are due for another one if we are going to do it. They had what four years between them? 1992… 1996 or 1997, and then 2001, so we are past due. I don’t know, but we will see.”

Sounds like everything we have ever heard about this project which just seems to be in development hell and rightfully so because of what Johnston said, you have to do something new that hasn’t been done before. I wrote a treatment for a new trilogy that revolves around a “new” company, Biosyn (Dodson’s company – the guy that bought off Nedry in film one) had bought out Ingen and succeeded where they had failed by bringing the research to a whole new level combining nanotechnology and genetic engineering. You have the mixture of life-size dinos like we love but then there are these dinopets that people own.Anyway I not going to write anymore because its not that bad of an idea and it brings everyone back as well in a creative and non-cheesy way. It is sort of the Dino-geddon route though.

Anyway I doubt we will see a Jurassic Park IV anytime soon but one thing I am sure if they did another one and Spielberg produced i am sure it would be 3D and such and maybe filmed like Avatar, that would be interesting.

Raizo (Rain) is one of the deadliest assassins in the world. Taken from the streets as a child, he was transformed into a trained killer by the Ozunu Clan, a secret society whose very existence is considered a myth. But haunted by the merciless execution of his friend by the Clan, Raizo breaks free from them…and vanishes.

Now he waits, preparing to exact his revenge. In Berlin, Europol agent Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) has stumbled upon a money trail linking several political murders to an underground network of untraceable assassins from the Far East. Defying the orders of her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), Mika digs into top secret agency files to learn the truth behind the murders. Her investigation makes her a target, and the Ozunu Clan sends a team of killers, led by the lethal Takeshi (Rick Yune), to silence her forever. Raizo saves Mika from her attackers, but he knows that the Clan will not rest until they are both eliminated.

Now, entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse through the streets of Europe, Raizo and Mika must trust one another if they hope to survive…and finally bring down the elusive Ozunu Clan.

The writer of the recently released animated movie G.I. Joe: Resolute – one Warren Ellis – is now working on a new project, an untitled Arturian project going by the name of Excalibur!

The news comes directly from the writer’s website as follows:

“I was actually cleared to talk about this at San Diego, but all the press I did there was Japanese-oriented for the Marvel Anime deal… so I’m going to mention it here, to say I did, and to maybe make up for that by giving the comics news sites something to post post-SDCC. I’m writing a film treatment for Hollywood Gang, who co-produced Frank Miller’s 300. Hollywood Gang have previously optioned my graphic novel (with Chris Sprouse) OCEAN. On my desk, the treatment is called Untitled Arthurian Project. On their desk, the project is called EXCALIBUR. I’m working directly with Gianni Nunnari, Oliver Kramer and Craig Flores (whom I was delighted to bump into on the Warner’s lot the other day) and having a great time. So… yeah. Movie stuff. Other things to talk about soon. I’ve been sitting on that one for months.”

Read the rest of Craig’s article here. Including confirmation from AICN. Definitely this sounds awesome and as a fan of Arthurian legend, especially when it is done right. Warren Ellis is one of my newly appointed favorite writers. He has worked on Planetary which is one of my favorite trades and his Red series is being developed by Summit and stars Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. He has done stuff for Marvel and DC comics.

Jennifer Love Hewitt of “Ghost Whisperer” fame has apparently reverted to a screaming teenage girl, why? Because of one Robert Pattinson a.k.a. Edward Cullen.

“Who’s not Team Edward?” she asked MTV News at Comic-Con, where she and her “Ghost Whisperer” co-stars talked about the fifth season of their supernatural CBS series. “There is not a girl in the world who’s not Team Edward! Have you met girls who are not Team Edward? Well, they are not girls! They’re aliens from another planet who should not be allowed to exist.”

This article which you can read the rest of here is a prime example of why Twilight is the most annoying thing ever conceived and that girls are stupid. I saw the Twilight panel and you do not even want to know what I thought Pattinson and how he portrayed himself. I do not want to write here because I do not want the massive comments that will ensure nor do I want to get sued for libel or slander. Jennifer Love Hewitt is just another girl who is caught up in a stupid fantasy.

This was about a month and a half ago if memory serves, and in a couple of conversations and notes since that point… I had begun to gather he was heading in that direction. Sure enough 3 days ago Robert told me he’d decided on Antal as the man burdened with the awesome challenge of taking the sting of suckage and the sewer pipe of hell that has been placed into that crazy cool mouth of the PREDATOR in the two AVP disposable flicks.”

I was keen on Neil Marshall but Antal must have impressed but now we shall see what he comes up with in terms of vision. Predators needs to blow us away like a Trek or Batman if it is going to survive.

The shot is of Stallone trying to pull himself onto a moving Seaplane. The shot is pretty damn cool and it just shows you how much Sly is still the man.

The Expendables is about a team of mercenaries who head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator. It stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews, and Charisma Carpenter. Stallone both wrote and is directing the film.
