Fox has picked up a brand new comedy pitch to get into the spirit of the holiday season. Variety is reporting that Fox has bought the comedy pitch The Fight Before Christmas from screenwriter Adam Sztykiel.

The Hangover 2 will begin production in October 2010 and will be released Memorial Day weekend 2011 according to Variety. The commitment comes one day after The Hangover crossed the $210 million domestic gross mark and surpassed Wedding Crashers to become the second biggest grossing R-rated comedy ever.
