Kevin Coll - Editor-In-Chief/Owner/Co-Founder

Kevin is a film freak, just ask him something movie related and he lights up like a Christmas tree. Originally his destiny was to go to film school, hit LA and try and become the next big thing. Circumstances change but in college, he fell in love with writing. After several failed attempts in starting a legit and hip school online magazine for his university Kevin moved into the blogosphere for himself and began Kevin’s Rant which in 2007 morphed into Fused Film. His favorite movie of all time is Empire Strikes Back, he loves his Chucks, he is an avid Stargate fan and classic rock is his music scene. Kevin’s articles have been linked on Fox News, the NY Times, IGN, Io9, the Chicago Tribune and many more. Recently Kevin was a major subject for an article in The Guardian, a prominent UK publication. Kevin also contributes sci-fi news and commentary at Blastr, powered by Syfy.

Brett Nachman - Senior Editor/Mouse House Columnist

Writer. Film fan. Disney devotee. These are a few terms people might use to describe Brett Nachman, an unabashed entertainment junkie who serves as the columnist of the Mouse House on FusedFilm. Brett is a journalism major who hopes to work for The Walt Disney Company. An Arizona native, Brett enjoys bicycling (not during triple-digit weather, though), as well as playing the piano, reading novels and newspapers, attending musicals, watching movies, and, of course, writing. He also loves to hang glide over California, bobsled through the Matterhorn, escape boulders with Indiana Jones and shoot lasers with Buzz Lightyear as often as he can visit Disneyland. Among his favorite films and television shows are Toy Story, Beauty and the Beast, Back to the Future, almost every Tom Hanks movie, Frasier, The Amazing Race, Lost, The Good Wife and Gilmore Girls. Just to name a handful. » E-mail Read posts written by Brett

Karen Divorty - Social Media Specialist/TIFF Reporter/Columnist

Karen Divorty is fanatically in love with film; at age 17 she saw The Shawshank Redemption in the theater and it forever transformed her. She passionately hates The Princess Bride, yet adores American Beauty . A fast-talking, fire cracker, she’s opinionated beyond belief, and greatly believes in living life outside of the box. Always looking for inspiration, she also writes poetry and screenplays – her utmost dream is to sell one. Karen is currently located in Toronto, Canada. »|Website | E-mail | Twitter | Facebook » Read posts written by Karen

Ken Smithart - Columnist/Reviewer/Comic-Con Coverage

Ken Smithart has been a movie critic for years…only recently has he actually found an audience. Previously his only audience was people he cornered after the movie (fortunately these were usually the people he came with.) He has a tendency to be more forgiving of movies if they “hit where they aim” as opposed to grading everything as if it were up for an award at Sundance. If it’s a cheesy, turn-off-your-brain-when-you-turn-off-your-cell-phone, popcorn movie, I don’t hold it to an unrealistic standard. One pet peeve is when the F/X folks don’t do their research and break the laws of physics (I’ll elaborate on that with an article later.) Ken is gearing up to begin his doctoral work in History beginning this fall in Texas. » E-mail » Read posts written by Ken

Vaughan Risher - Graphic Designer/Site Consultant/The Man

Vaughan Risher graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in film production, moved to Los Angeles and worked tirelessly in the film industry for several years while honing the craft of screenwriting. He learned about Hollywood and the business of making movies, as well as the tricky world of pitches, managers, and how to take a meeting.then, the desire to write has remained strong, but so has the desire to design. After developing and nurturing his budding design talent, he left the film industry trenches and put his talent to use by becoming a full time graphic designer. Fortunately, his profession still leaves room for writing screenplays and eventually led Vaughan to Fused Film, where he brings both his talents to bear with website graphics and the occasional film review or article. » Website | E-mail | Twitter | Facebook

Melissa Yearian - Columnist

Melissa Yearian is a big fan of blood spray in 3-D. She also loves puppies and chocolate, but she spends most of her time watching people get brutally murdered on screen. A close friend once sent her a doll that looks like a cross between Wonder Woman and a Kewpie doll. It has a pot belly, and it has quickly become her personal heroine. She thinks everyone should understand why, say, Adrienne Barbeau kicks slightly more ass than Margot Kidder, but she understands that Barb from Black Christmas steals all young hearts. If she were to choose a horror heroine to become, she would, of course, choose Ellen Ripley (well, up until Alien Resurrection). She is an adamant believer that there are, in fact, only three Star Wars movies, and she is still mourning the loss of Battlestar Galactica. Was anyone sexier than President Roslin? In all seriousness, she is five seconds from graduating with an MFA in Creative Writing from the City College of New York, where she is also an Adjunct Lecturer. » Read posts written by Melissa

Will Melton - Columnist

Will Melton is a dorky, postmodern kind of guy obsessed with pop culture, counterculture, social media, and pastiche. He loves trash cinema in the vein of Spaghetti Westerns, Kung Fu flicks, Yakuza crime thrillers, zombie flicks, UFC fights, and weird, avant garde stuff. He’s watched Garden State over 35 times because he’s obsessed with the existential metaphors, and he will talk hyperreality with anyone as long as there are beers and tacos present. He has penned four feature-length screenplays—none of which have earned him any acclaim, prestige, or money. He worked with a small film crew on a guerrilla-style documentary in a Post-Katrina Lower Ninth Ward; this adventure included bridge-climbing in traffic and running from police in an abandoned condominium complex. He also worked for Funny or Die’s marketing team while he completed his master’s degree in Media Communications. Currently, Will resides in Saint Louis where he is working on his second master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Missouri. » Website | E-mail | Twitter | Facebook » Read posts written by Will

Michael Merlob - LA Writer/Reviewer/Consultant

Originally hailing from the wilds of the Hudson Valley in New York, Michael currently resides in Los Angeles and has a bachelor's degree in Cinema Production from Ithaca College. Though he enjoys many things in life (eating, sleeping, video games, action figures), film takes precedence. He prefers his Anderson PT-style, not Wes, and wishes Jonathan Glazer would make another film already. When he's not force-feeding himself a steady diet of cinematic goodness, he enjoys traveling (he recently backpacked Southeast Asia), SCUBA diving, hunting down the world's finest bowl of mac 'n cheese (so far it's in Miami, FL), reading (novels, comic books, The New Yorker), and all-around tomfoolery. Some of his favorite films are Raiders of the Lost Ark, Magnolia, Seven, and High Fidelity. He is also a big fan of Mad Men, The Wire, The Shield, Lost, Dexter, The Sopranos, and Breaking Bad. His philosophy on film is "subjectivity is overrated." Though taste always comes into play, good is good - period. It can't all be "relative" or else there are no standards and then we may as well all give up. If it works, it works. » E-mail | Twitter

Amber Fritz - Contributing Writer

?Amber Fritz, a horror and teen comedy aficionado, when she was 16 when she began working at Lapeer Cinemas as a projectionist, and decided the film industry was it for her.
