‘This Means War’ Schedules Itself for a Valentine’s Day Battle

It wouldn’t be Valentine’s Day if there was no romantic movie to go along with the release date and that is why Twentieth Century Fox will be moving its This Means War release date up three days, to Tuesday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day. Normally the movie that is released at or around Valentine’s Day is a heavy driven romance drama, but guys won’t have to worry about that with This Means War.

According to the studio, “This audacious strike comes on the heels of outstanding test screenings and strong word of mouth.”

Commented Bruce Snyder, president of domestic distribution: “Starting Valentine’s Day, we’re making WAR, not love. We’re armed and ready with the perfect movie. This is a picture that that has it all – humor, charm, wit and action – and it plays through the roof.”

In the movie, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy are two of the top CIA agents in the country, and they just happen to be involved with the same woman (Reese Witherspoon) But as the two generously gives up the relationship, they try to find ways to ruin each other’s relationships in hopes that they will come out as the victor.
