Joel Edgerton Sells Comedy Script ‘One Night Stand’ to New Regancy

Joel Edgerton, one of the hottest stars in the Hollywood business in 2011, is now streamlining his way from acting to screenwriting. According to THR, the Warrior actor has just sold a script titled One Night Stand to New Regency. The trade reports that the script will be a comedy-based film that will a man and a woman following their encounter during a one night stand. Edgerton may have written the script, but he is not expected to direct or star in it. However the actor is tapped to be an executive producer in the movie.

Its wonderful to see that Edgerton that a rising star is now testing the screenwriting waters, especially when it’s a comedy. Edgerton is quickly becoming a household name having appeared in Warrior and The Thing last year. This year Edgerton will appear in a wide range of films such The Odd Life of Timothy Green with Jennifer Garner, a lead role The Great Gatsby, and The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner.
