Lex Luthor Returns to Smallville Finale! Michael Rosenbaum to Reprise Role

Just days after fans were clambering online about Michael Rosenbaum’s denial of ever returning to Smallville again, especially not for the finale. It seems all the speculation and banking the producers have put on his return.

Deadline reports that talks heated up over the past week, leading to the deal which was signed last night. It seems that fans’ prayers have been answered and that Clark Kent and Lex Luthor will meet again. Rosenbaum will return to the CW series for the May 13 finale. Rosenbaum left Smallville in 2008 to focus on his writing career.

I am extremely pumped about this and can’t wait to see how he comes back, how much screen time he will get and much more. Rosenbaum’s turn as Lex Luthor in this series is, in my opinion, one of the best TV villain roles in small screen history.
