Check Out Jason Momoa As Conan In This First Look!
I was a very happy camper when Stargate: Atlantis star Jason Momoa got casted in the lead role of Conan in the remake of the classic pulp warrior. Well now we are finally getting a look at the young actor playing the titular role and he couldn’t look any better.
Latino Review had the images that they got by way of Quiet Earth. The style of the movie looks a lot like the earlier film from Nispel called Pathfinder. Momoa looks good though and certainly is different than the look that was enstilled in cinematic legend by Schwartzenegger. What are your thoughts on Momoa in the role? do these set pics get you excited at all? I can’t wait to see what the finished product is like.
Sean Hood did a rewrite on the previous draft of the Conan script by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, which follows Conan as he avenges the slaughter of his father. The film is based on the Robert E. Howard’s pulp fantasy books and centers on Conan (Jason Momoa) being the last of his tribe, after having to watch his father (Ron Perlman) die a cruel death, and his people ‘slaughter, he must avenge them by killing all those who led the attack on the Cimmerians, including the all-powerful Khalar Singh (Steven Lang). He is prepared to die in order to accomplish his goal. What Conan did not expect, was to find a reason to live. Meantime Singh is in search of a queen whose blood will bring about a demonic plague which will help him take over the known world. Conan joined by Tamara (Rachel Nichols), a bodyguard for the queen and a rogue thief (Said Taghmaoui) must journey to avenge his father and people while saving others in the process.
