Warner Brothers to Bring Green Lantern and Sucker Punch to Theaters in 3D
Warner Brothers is already on the 3D badwagon pushing up Clash of the Titans so it could be converted over into the format. It is no surprise that they would want to bring their next couple of big films The Green Lantern and Sucker Punch to theaters in 3D as well.
The announcement comes from Box Office Mojo who says the titles to both films have been changed to Green Lantern (in 3D) and Sucker Punch (in 3D).
It seems both of the release dates haven’t changed, with Martin Campbell’s Green Lantern still set for June 17, 2011 and Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch remaining in the March 25, 2011 release slot.
I am getting so tired of this 3D crap, it worked for Avatar, yes great, freaking awesome! but that doesn’t mean it is going to work for all these other films. I am getting so tired of this almost pawnsie money making agenda from these ridiculous studios who think that people give an absolute shit about whether or not the movie is in 3D. I hope they release Green Lantern in 2D as well because that is how I want to see the film.
3D sucks and no one is going to tell me otherwise. The glasses or uncomfortable, the headache I get is discomforting and distracting and to me its obtrusive and takes away from the immersion they are trying to create to begin with.
Whatever Warner Brothers, crap on these films before they come out because that is what you are doing.
