Rumor: Patrick Stewart Headed to Fury Road for Mad Max 4?

The peeps over at Ain’t It Cool News received some loose ended but interesting information indicating that Captain Picard himself,  Patrick Stewart, could have a role in George Miller’s upcoming reboot/sequel Mad Max: Fury Road. An Australian fan had the chance to meet Stewart and here are the interesting remarks he made.

“I got to ask him whether he’d like to make a movie in Australia and he said he may be back here soon to film a movie with George Miller. I – embarrassingly – blurted Happy Feet 2! great!” and he said “No, another one”. Only other one I can see that Miller is doing is the new Mad Max movie.”

Of course, this rumor wasn’t confirmed and Stewart could be talking about a different project as well. We’ll be sure to keep you posted if we hear any more news about this matter. The movie has Tom Hardy, who played opposite Picard in Star Trek: Nemesis, in the title role of Max. Charlize Theron is also set to star in the film as well. As far as we know Miller’s only projects in Aussie land are Mad Max 4 and Happy Feet 2. We’ll keep you posted on this rumor as soon as we know more.
