i dont think a reboot is in order. i think nolan and singer could share the role of director/writer and that Routh looked and acted the part to the mark. the issue i do have, however is that returns, while good, was a little uneventfull. i'd like to see a messed up krypto-villian in the sequel and a little more progression in the plot. Returns only problem is that it took too long to amount emotional investment in its characters, otherwise it was a great film.

I completely agree with the comment about breaking ties with all parties involved in prior endeavors. Routh was a good fit, but the movie went nowhere. Revamping means completely take away the old and bring in the new. This could be an amazing flick. They need to do it right, they need to remember as well that while a lot of us grew up with Saturday evenings watching Superman and Lois, there is a whole new generation out there that needs more of a background story. Kids these days don't have the patience to watch pre-twenty first century graphics!
