Ron Howard to Direct Vince Vaughn Comedy
Ron Howard has been at the helm of Best-Picture-winning dramas but he has had his hand in the production of comedies, mainly the Arrested Development series.
Now he’s set to tickle our funny bones with a feature comedy film. According to Variety’s BF Deal Memo blog, Howard is set to direct Vince Vaughn in a new untitled comedy. Allan Loeb (21, Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps) wrote the film, which was said to center on a comedic fallout from infidelities by lovers and friends.
THR describes the film as a story that “follows a man who learns that his best friend’s wife is cheating and must then navigate treacherous waters to decide what do with that knowledge.”
How much you want to bet Jason Bateman will be in this movie? I can only guess being that Arrested Development was his career comeback.
It was said that the film was set to start production this spring in Chicago. No release plans were revealed though.
