TrailerFest: Karate Kid, Frozen and Sex and the City II Trailers Hit the Web!

Seems like there are a lot of trailers coming out this time of year. This little hyperpost will have a looks at the Karate Kid remake starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. Other trailers are for the indie ski thriller, Frozen and the anticipated sequel Sex and the City 2.

Karate Kid – a remake of the classic 80s staple this new film takes essential plot elements from the classic film and creates a whole new story. Set in an exotic Asian locale, the new movie borrows from the original plot, wherein a bullied youth (Smith) learns to stand up for himself with the help of an eccentric mentor (Chan).

Frozen - A typical day on the slopes turns into a chilling nightmare for three snowboarders when they get stranded on the chairlift before their last run. As the ski patrol switches off the night lights, they realize with growing panic that they’ve been left behind dangling high off the ground with no way down. With the resort closed until the following weekend and frostbite and hypothermia already setting in, the trio is forced to take desperate measures to escape off the mountain before they freeze to death. Once they make their move, they discover with horror that they have much more to fear than just the frigid cold. As they combat unexpected obstacles, they start to question if their will to survive is strong enough to overcome the worst ways to die?

Sex and the City 2 – Another sequel and it seems this classic HBO series is far from going away, however it seems this time the movie is truly for the ladies. Sex and the City 2 is the follow-up to the first feature film from 2008. That original film was inspired by the phenomenally popular, award-winning HBO series that’s based on the writings of Candace Bushnell. “Sometimes, you just have to get away with the girls!”
