Star Trek 2 to Go Into Production Next Year?
One of the crew members of the USS Enterprise seems to think the ship will be set for its sequel voyage with production beginning around this time next year.
Zoe Saldana, who plays crew member Uhura, recently spoke with MTV and revealed that the sequel Star Trek 2 will start coming together next year.
“I spoke to J.J. and Bryan Burk, his producing partner at Bad Robot, and they are still in the middle of building the script with Alex Kurtzman and Bob Orci, and we’ll probably be going into pre-production around this time next year.”
There has been no official word yet on when the film might start shooting, but we’ll certainly keep you posted on all Star Trek 2 news as soon as we have more information. Currently all we know is that Abrams and team are working on the script and that the sequel was officially announced and greenlit by the studio. I can’t wait to start hearing what Abrams and his crew have cooked up for the sequel, in case you are curious, here is one of the most interesting rumors we have heard about potential story elements in the second film.
