21 Jump Street Film Gets Phil Lord and Chris Miller To Direct

Last we heard talk from the 21 Jump Street movie, writer and possible star, Jonah Hill, talked about the film and described it as an R-rated Bad Boys type action flick with the wit and humor of a John Hughes film.
Now the film appears to have a directing duo in line to bring the film remake of the classic 80s/90s series to life. Columbia Pictures is in talks with Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs) to helm the project. Hill and Mike Bacall penned the script. Hill will star in the film and also executive produce.
The feature is about a group of young looking cops who go undercover at high schools. The series starred Johnny Depp and Peter DeLuise and was developed by Stephen J. Cannell. Cannell who also created the A-team, will produce the film adaptation of the series like he is doing the A-team film remake.
