I was amped to see Fox give it such huge promotion. I have seen the new trailer a dozen times already. But when it premiered yesterday, I stopped everything to watch it on the tube. And I still got goosebumps.

excellent post! I wanted to "search" if others are following this visual brilliance. I would have enjoyed this trailer regardless of where and when it was advertised, however this Sunday was a great day to do this as it attracts the most audience that are invariably in groups, so you can generate a conversation after the initial interest. The word of mouth is the best way to reach others. I called, messaged, gtalked so many friends and family members today about this trailer and everyone who saw was pleasantly surprised. In fact it also generated questions and topics about Alien life forms, the future of space exploration, science and philosophy etc. Also, i dont think it has anything to do with football fans or baseball fans, it is just about attracting a large enough tv/stadium audience, where even a 25% favorable review of this trailer will have a carry on effect as those people will tell others, who might share a similar interest or excitement outside of their sports buddies. I am not a fanboy and i dont usually watch a love of movies, however the most important thing is the anticipation and the interest, the awe factor. This movie certainly reached out to many today, if not everyone. A great marketing move. Movies like this should be still kept in secrecy, as in not flood the audience with more trailers and more peeks, sometimes they work against a movie, especially if the word coming out from reviewers is negative about the movie or the first day audience. I was watching the Colts vs the Niners, or I think it was after their game, when this trailer first premiered. Regardless, I definitely think they hit the mark with this trailer and Sunday during the GB vs Min game and during the World Series.
