Box Office: The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day Gets Nationwide Expansion!

So I got this wonderful press release in my email this morning saying that Apparition and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group have announced that they have decided to expand The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day “nationwide to additional markets” on November 13th 2009.

The film on its October 30 opening weekend grossed over $500,000 in only four markets: New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Philadelphia, with a per theater average of over $8,000. Because of the demand/fan base, the studio has announced that they will be opening the movie wider on November 13 to additional cities including Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, and more.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is the long-awaited, much-anticipated, sequel to the indie cult classic, The Boondock Saints. The film is the continuation of writer/director Troy Duffy’s tough, stylized cutting edge saga of the MacManus brothers (Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery). The two have been in deep hiding with their father, Il Duce (Billy Connolly), in the quiet valleys of Ireland, far removed from their former vigilante lives. When word comes that a beloved priest has been killed by sinister forces from deep within the mob, the brothers return to Boston to mount a violent and bloody crusade to bring justice to those responsible. With a new partner in crime (Clifton Collins Jr., Star Trek) and a sexy FBI operative (Julie Benz, TV’s Dexter) hot on their trail…the Saints are back!

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day is written and directed by Troy Duffy, starring Sean Patrick Flanery, Norman Reedus, Billy Connolly, Clifton Collins Jr., and Julie Benz. Produced by Chris Brinker and Don Carmody, and executive produced by Lloyd Segan and Rob Fried.

The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day will open wide in theaters on Friday, November 13. I would assume that Fused Film headquarters will be included in that being we are in Memphis and that is a top 50 market I do not see why it wouldn’t come here but I speculate until I hear otherwise.

Out of curiosity.. every site that has quoted the wider release has listed the same cities with an "and more." Where are the "and more" releases.. as far as the 13th goes?
