Our pals over at CinemaBlend, The Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films will be remaking their Scary Movie franchise with the next film. It was said that the film would feature “all new characters”, which would likely mean no Anna Faris in the film. It was also reported that this reboot wouldn’t be seen for some time, as they want to do the film after Scream 4.

So the reboot is more like a fifth film spoofing Scream 4 and other horror films before it, probably yet to come out as well.

I think this is balls! I love the second Scary Movie and the first one but everyone after sucked and bringing in new actors to be in the film, recycle the same jokes, etc spells major lame. Also the fact that spoof films are just not funny anymore I think Meet the Spartans taught us that as well as the last Wayan’s spoof on teen dance films, Dance Flick.
