Writer Dan Mazeau Says The Flash is Moving Forward

Screenwriter Dan Mazeau contacted IGN yesterday and gave them a very positive update on the current status of The Flash.

“Just to chime in on your latest article: The Flash has not been hobbled. Everything is moving forward as planned,” Mazeau explained. “I’m still writing the script. Geoff Johns is still consulting. Flash fans have no cause for concern, and — IMO — lots to be excited about.”

A few days ago IGN posted an article that The Flash was one of many projects that DC Entertainment has been reeled back in. DC Entertainment is doing that to any project that isn’t ready to go so that they can control the franchises a lot more closely.

I like that fact that Geoff Johns is still consulting and that Mazeau’s script is still in development as he is supposed to be one hell of a writer and his Johnny Quest script is supposed to kick-ass! I just hope that DC can start tying their characters together in the prospect of a crossover. Well we can start getting an idea with Green Lantern hitting in 2011.

In the mean time watch this bad ass fake Flash teaser that came out last year, like the Green Lantern video, this gets you antsy for a live action film.

I read a copy of Mazeau's JQ script last year and it was indeed AWESOME! Made “The Blacklist”, and to me, that's impressive! If The Flash script is anything like JQ (maybe a bit more edgy), than I'm gonna be one HAPPY fan!!! May the Flash be with you Mazeau!
