TV News: NBC is All About the Buy More! It Orders Up 6 More Episodes of Chuck

So it seems with the continued decline of Heroes and the recent cancellation of NBC’s newest series Trauma, Chuck is reaping the benefits. We heard some rumblings that a Season 3 of the show may comeback earlier than scheduled with NBC’s fall schedule taking a hit. It was rumored late October but now it seems it may be as early as January.

Chuck Season 2 hits Blu-ray and DVD on January 5, 2010 so that may not be a stretch.

More importantly the series which was almost cancelled until a fan campaign to buy Subway subs created buzz actually saved the series as well as an experiment by NBC to keep interest in the show by creating a fansite with access to vids, buzz and other things peculating in its hiatus.

NBC is now all about the Buy More (pun intended) and they are buying more episodes of the series for season 3 with 6 more episodes making Season 3 round-out to 19 total episodes.

I have to say that I am amazed this is going on. Here we are with a show that owes its fans bigtime and believe me after seeing their presence at Comic-Con they love the fans just as much.
