Stellen Skarsgard Set For Marvel’s Thor
Stellan Skarsgård has supposedly officially joined Marvel Studios’ Thor, reported the Swedish news site Ystads Allehanda.
Stellan Skarsgård is ready for a role in action movie Thor. Everything is still secret about the project and Skarsgård can not reveal what role he will play. ”They wanted me to sign without reading the script. That I refused to do. Then they sent one to me that was so coded that I could only print one copy,” said Stellan Skarsgård.
He has been rumored for awhile for the role of Odin, Thor’s father and head honcho of Vahalla. Skarsgard was rumored back when his son Alexander was rumored for the role of Thor but ultimately the lead went to Chris Hemsworth.
Set for release May 20, 2011, the Marvel Studios comic book adaptation will be directed by Kenneth Branagh. The film stars Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Jaimie Alexander (Sif), Colm Feore (Uknown) and Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury).
