New Crow Reboot Still Moving Forward
12 months ago we learned that screenwriter, Stephen Norrington, had signed on to write and direct a reboot of The Crow, since then we haven’t heard much, however Comics2Film has been keeping on it and we can confirm that the project is still moving forward!
According to C2F, Norrington’s current draft of the script has been very well received with Relativity Media, the studio behind the film:
“Back in December, Norrington described what he hoped to bring to the franchise in terms of sharpening its tone for 21st century audiences. “Whereas [Alex] Proyas’ original was gloriously gothic and stylized, the new movie will be realistic, hard-edged and mysterious, almost documentary-style,” Norrington said at the time. According to our source, the project is moving forward and attention will now turn to casting the film. Watch for more as things unfold with ‘The Crow’.”
Originally it was assumed that the project would be a remake of the popular 1994 Alex Proyas film which starred Brandon Lee as Eric Draven, however given the amount of source material it’s now thought that the project will be an all new story.
Who would be your best choice for The Crow?
