Kristen Bell Versus Christina Aguilera in Burlesque
So I am a sucker for blonds however this post is almost a tale of two blonds. In one corner you have a nice classy elegant hot blond in Kristen Bell and in the other corner you have a blond with voice to kill and looks that torture a man’s soul, Christina Aguilera. One you take home to mom and the other you’d take home to show dad.
Both performers will be playing rivals in a film called Burlesque from Screen Gems. The film is being directed by Steve Antin. In the movie, a small-town girl (Aguilera) with a magnificent voice “finds love and success in a Los Angeles neo-burlesque club, reminiscent of the nightclub in Bob Fosse’s Cabaret.”
Bell will play the role of Nikki. She is sharp tongued lead dancer and the main attraction at the club. She can’t handle it when Aguilera’s character finds herself in the spotlight.
Cher is cast as the nightclub owner. Stanley Tucci will play he man who helps turn Aguilera’s character into bombshell.
