The Social Network (That Facebook Movie) Casting Rumors - Jesse Eisenburg and Justin Timberlake?
(via Firstshowing) Carson Reeves of ScriptShadow wrote an update on his Facebook page mentioning that he’s heard rumors about the cast for David Fincher’s The Social Network, the Facebook movie, written by Aaron Sorkin. He says that Jesse Eisenberg will play the lead Mark Zuckerberg, Justin Timberlake will play Napster’s Sean Parker and Andrew Garfield will play Eduardo Saverin (co-founder w/Zuckerberg).
That seems like some interesting casting? I can see Eisenburg all the way from the Jew-for to his acting talent. Timberlake would actually work in my mind for Sean Parker. FS.Net did a script review awhile back giving us some insight on the story and how it would work. Sorkin wrote the story based on The Accidental Billionaires written by Ben Mezrich which chronicled the story of how Mark Zuckerberg, who created Facebook in his dorm room at Harvard. Sean Parker fits into Zuckerberg’s story as a key player in why Facebook is on our computers today and ScriptShadow said that he could become an iconic character for the film.
I am a fan of Sorkin and his script with Fincher’s directing combined with some of these actors I can’t help but smile and get excited about this film. These casting rumors are just that at this point but for a slow news day, an interesting story nonetheless.
