Quinton Jackson is Going to Be B.A. Baracus in The A-Team
So this has been a casting carousel over the past few months with multiple confirmations from us, Yahoo, GeekTyrant but only to have those hopes dashed by MTV later in the week. Turns out that the UFC star and former world light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson portray Sgt. “B.A.” Baracus in The A-Team movie remake.
According to The Vancouver Sun, Jackson is there in Vancouver or “Hollywood Canada” ready to take on the role made famous by Mr. T in the 1980s TV series. Rampage was in Vancouver on August 19 to discuss the role with producers and arrived in town Friday to prepare for filming, which will span the next six weeks.
Rampage Jackson joins Bradley Cooper who is playing Face and Liam Neeson, who is playing Hannibal, in the Joe Carnahan-directed film which 20th Century Fox is set to release on June 11, 2010.
It is only the casting of the role of Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock has yet to be announced and one that we eagerly await being that the only name rumored with serious contention is that of Chris Pine.
I am glad it seems that Rampage is set for the character as I feel he will actually do a decent job I mean the character of B.A. is just “Bad Attitude” there is no real depth so therefore I do not see Rampage having to try hard. This film is really starting to excite me and where they are going with it I only hope it doesn’t come off cheesy or the opposite, dull and boring like the Mod Squad movie remake that sucked hardcore.
