Jaimie Alexander and Colm Feore Join Marvel’s Thor
Colm Feore and Jaimie Alexander are both joining Marvel Studios live action adaptation of Thor directed by Kenneth Branagh.
Both actors will be joining the already cast Chris Hemsworth, who is playing the title character. Tom Hiddleston, will be playing his nemesis, Loki, the god of mischief, the movie’s villain. Natalie Portman is also in the film and will be playing Thor’s (Donald Blake) human love, Jane Foster.
In Thor, Alexander will play Sif. She is a skilled Asgardian warrior who can fight as well as any man. She also is one of Thor’s many loves and spends much time searching for him. It was rumored for sometime that Jessica Biel was up for this role. Alexander is a TV actress playing shows like Bones, Kyle XY, CSI:Miami and Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Feore’s character is currently cloaked in mystery. All that’s known is that he’s also villain. Speculation is that he could be playing Zarrko, The Tomorrow Man or Mister Hyde but those are probably way off base, we’ll just have to wait and see. Feore played the villain in the Chronicles of Riddick.
At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
