[Update] UFC’s Quinton Jackson to play B. A. Baracus in A-Team Movie?

This is official as of now according to Yahoo News (via GeekTyrant) He is set to play the role that was made famous by Mr. T.
There has been much deliberation on who will be cast as B.A. Baracus in Joe Carnahan’s A-Team remake for the big screen. The only official casting announcements so far is Liam Neeson who will be playing John “Hannibal” Smith and The Hangover’s Bradley Cooper, who will be playing Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck.
Originally actors such as The Game and Common were pegged for the part but it seems that Jackson is the man Carnahan is going with or at least the favorite candidate at the moment.
The news comes from The Sun via the MMA Junkie.com and though there is no official confirmation this seems to be fairly substantial in our opinion. Jackson is no stranger to Hollywood and has had small parts in a variety of recent films and TV shows, including Never Surrender, Hell’s Chain and The King of Queens.
Jackson fights rival coach Rashad Evans in December at UFC 107 in my hometown of Memphis, of which I will be there to see him kick some ass.
Thanks to our new Associate Editor, Will for passing this along.
