Bad Boys 3 Coming to the Big Screen? Writer Set for Third Installment
Funny just the other day I was craving another Bad Boys movie. Guess somebody read my mind because it seems a third installment of the Bad Boys franchise is in the works at Columbia, which has set Peter Craig to write the screenplay that will reunite director Michael Bay, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. At this point, with the project in the early stages, no one has made a deal, just the script is in the works.
Bad Boys made movie stars out of Smith and Lawrence putting them into a viable buddy cop franchise as Miami detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, involving car chases, explosions and extensive use of the F-word.
Apparently all parties have expressed a willingness to return if a story can be hammered out. One potential hurdle, however, would be the costly deals with the actors and director. Obviously as of now no production date has been set.
