Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to Write Michael Bay’s I Am Number Four
Back in June of this year there was a story we ran on Michael Bay where he is planning on undertaking a new sci-fi venture to produce and possibly direct with DreamWorks. The deal was for a project titled I Am Number Four, the first of a six-book science fiction deal.
Smallville creators and Spider-man 2 writers, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, are now set to adapt the books for Bay and the screen adaptation of the James Frey and Jobie Hughes novel. The series revolves around a group of nine aliens who flee to Earth, disguised as teenagers, when their home planet is destroyed.
I used to be a fan of Gough and Millar but really the only good thing they have done was make a decent Superman series, Smallville and their Spider-man 2 script rocked but Mummy 3 sucked hardcore. Sadly after that they moved out of Smallville to produce the Hannah Montana movie, I mean c’mon. Next the duo plan on producing a film on ”Quartermain” for DreamWorks.
