Samuel L. Jackson in Bigfoot Cartoon
With the wave of comic book adaptations these days, even lesser-known properties are being considered for TV or movie screens. Case in point: Kickstart Entertainment plans to develop Alex Grecian and Riley Rossmo’s comic Proof as an animated series. Samuel L. Jackson is rumored to be involved, possibly as the voice of the lead character. Proof follows the exploits of John “Proof” Prufrock, a sasquatch employed by the government. Prufrock and his team investigate the appearance of mythical creatures called cryptids. The pilot episode will be screened by Evan Gore, who has written for Futurama in the past.
With this project and Samuel Jackson’s work on Afro Samurai, the Marvel films, and The Spirit, Jackson’s geek cred is firmly established. I read the first few issues of Proof and it was an interesting concept. I think that I will check this one out.
