Nic Cage and Cameron Diaz Eying The Green Hornet
Nicolas Cage and Cameron Diz are in early negotiations with Columbia Pictures for role’s in the Michael Gondry directed, Seth Rogen penned The Green Hornet.
Diaz is in negotiations to play a reporter and love interest in the film while Cage is seeking the role of the gangster villian.
The picture is moving full steam ahead for its fall releases date even with the early set backs of Stephen Chow dropping out of the director’s chair and then dropping out of the entire project as a whole. Chow, who was going to play sidekick, Kato will now have to be replaced.
Rogen and Evan Goldberg wrote the script and Neal Moritz is producing through his Original Films.
I am not quite sure what to think of this project at this stage. It seems to me it is going to be another bomb much like The Spirit. All these set backs and back and forth of Chow make me a little concerned on how good the film is. Also I think there is some better supporting actors out there besides Cameron Diaz and Nic Cage, don’t get me wrong they are good in the stuff they should be in but I just picture other people in those roles. However acting is what it is and there is always something about an actor that can surprise you. That beinf said he was a great bad guy in Face-Off.
