Michael Sheen joins Tron: Legacy
Apparently there has been a rumor floating around that Michael Sheen had role in the sequel, Tron:Legacy. Our British site partner, FilmShaft got a heads up on it from the Tron UK PR department. When he got a cast list from them and he saw Sheen’s name on it. Now it seems that Disney has confirmed the role via their Twitter feed. Way to go Craig on the scoop! Too bad most people will get the story via Twitter and never know our British brother’s journalistic integrity and investigative grit.
It wasn’t particularly clear as to which role he would have but it was rumored that Sheen was to play a villain that may or may not be human.
He’d be a great new version of Brit David Warner’s Sark maybe like a Sark 2.0 or something deadlier and more villainous.
Tron: Legacy stars Garrett Hedlund, Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, Olivia Wilde, Beau Garrett, Michael Sheen and is currently set for a 2010 release.
We saw footage at Comic-Con and it was really awesome and I simply can’t wait for this movie to come out or see more.
Tron: Legacy is headed for a fall 2010 release. It’s the story of Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
