JJ Abrams To Produce Mission: Impossible 4 With Tom Cruise
Back in March we got wind of a fourth Mission: Impossible movie being chatted about by its star Tom Cruise. He mentioned that he’d like to have a big action sequence in downtown Tokyo. It wasn’t very clear but the actor mentioned a story was in the works.
Now it has been announced that Mission: Impossible 3 director, JJ Abrams, is going to produce the fourth installment in the franchise, returning Cruise as Ethan Hunt.
Spoiler TV reports that Abramsis going to be the man producing Mission: Impossible 4. The in-demand director will be teaming up again with Tom Cruise who will play spy Ethan Hunt.
“I am incredibly honored that Tom has invited me back as a producer on Mission: Impossible 4,” Abrams said. He has yet to commit to directing the project. “Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing.”
So there you have it they are officially conjuring up another film in the Mission: Impossible series with Cruise to return as the IMF agent, Ethan Hunt. I really like the first film and the third one isn’t bad but I thought this series ran its course but with a resurgence in the popularity of Cruise and J.J. Abrams name so big now, they [Paramount] may have a viable reason to keep the franchise going and if the story is good [which JJ says they have an idea] who’s to say it won’t be better than the last go around.
