Evil Dead Remake Confirmed By Bruce Campbell

Yesterday the fine folks over at Forces of Geek had an interesting post. Apparently, Bruce Campbell was taking part in an interview to promote the upcoming season of Burn Notice and confirmed the Evil Dead remake.

Campbell stated that there are no plans for a sequel right now, but they are going ahead with the remake (which he will be a producer) and he doesn’t expect to be in it, as it will feature all “young actors”.

    Yes i would go young. I think it should star Justin Long from ‘DRAG ME TO HELL ‘ as Ash. he’s a dead ringer, the chin and the black hair to boot as well. To play Linda ash’s GF Would be Alison Lohman from the same movie. To play Cheryl I would say it would have to be Lindsay Lohan, she’s just got that face to her to pull it off. To play Scott I would have to go with the guy who played anakin skywalker from Star Wars episodes 2 and 3. he would be good. To play shelly I would go with either Jennifer Love Hewitt or Natalie Portman. To direct i would use either Guilermo del Toro or Rob zombie no questions asked.
