New G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra Preview Clip for MTV Movie Awards

MTV has released a 45-second preview of the new G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra clip they’ll be airing at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards pre-show on Sunday, May 31 at 7 PM ET on MTV. Paramount Pictures and Hasbro, whose previous collaboration was the worldwide blockbuster Transformers, join forces with Spyglass Entertainment for another extraordinary action-adventure G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. From the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps, the elite G.I. JOE team uses the latest in next-generation spy and military equipment to fight the corrupt arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious Cobra organization to prevent them from plunging the world into chaos. G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra is directed by Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, The Mummy Returns). G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra opens in theaters nationwide on August 7. I am not a big fan of these awards shows and MTV one though fun is not a serious thing and these preview clips are really just an attempt to get people like me to watch the whole clip during the awards. We’ll see but I just do not care about the MTV awards.
