Brett Ratner Off the Conan the Barbarian Remake

Brett Ratner, who we all know I loathe and despise, was once attached to a project that when I first heard his named with I cringed at the thought. Ratner was once attached to direct a complete reboot/remake of Conan The Barbarian, the film that made Arnold Schwartzenegger the action hero that he was.

Now the remake is without a director for the time being. According to Empire, director Brett Ratner is no longer attached to direct the new Conan remake.

The site spoke with the film’s producer, Joe Gatta, who confirmed that Ratner is off the remake.

“We’re currently in the process of hiring a director,” he told us. “For the past six months we were discussing the movie with Brett Ratner, and for more timing issues than anything else we had to part ways with Brett. We all wanted him to do it, believe me; just the timing didn’t work. But you never know what can happen.”

This is the best news ever as Ratner is not qualified to make anything epic in Hollywood after he pissed all over Singer’s vision of X-Men. He should stick to making Guitar Hero Commercials and Jack Ass dvds and quite trying to be Michael Bay. Good riddance I say Mr. Ratner.
