Marlon Wayans to Live Biblically

Comedic actor Marlon Wayans has signed on to star in and produce The Year of Living Biblically for Paramount. The film will be based on A.J. Jacobs’ bestselling book published in 2005. Like the book, Biblically is a recount of the year that Jacobs spent attempting to literally follow the rules of the Old and New Testaments. As one would expect, this led to some unique and humorous situations. The script was written by Jay Reiss, with Julian Farino attached to direct. Rick Alvarez of Wayans Brothers Entertainment and Lisa Suzanne Blum are also producing this project. Wayans is continuing his relationship with Paramount, who produced his upcoming films Dance Flick and GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra. I have always liked Marlon Wayans as an actor. He can be silly at times, but he also received critical accalim for his performance in Requiem For a Dream. This concept is interesting and I think Marlon can handle the silly and the serious moments in the script.
