Mark Millar talks Wanted 2′s Writer Choice
Mark Millar in his usual in your face manner basically told everyone who criticized the choice of Evan Spiliotopolus, as the writer of the next installment to the summer blockbuster hit Wanted, to suck it!
In the message boards of his website he wrote the following statement about the choice of Pooh’s Hefflump Movie scribe as the writer for Wanted 2 saying:
“Never listen to any commentators as they never know anything about who’s coming back, etc. It’s just speculation and 99% of the time these guys don’t have access to the people who know. Wanted 2 is being made in a very tight circle at the moment. As a producer on the thing, I’m excited. I know who’s in it and after doing 342 million at the box office we have series money to spend on everything from cast to crew to script. This guy is supposed to be really good. He did a GREAT action script recently (on an unproduced movie) and that’s what got him this gig.”
I never once thought he was a bad choice for the task of writing of the sequel, with Millar producing and consulting on the script, he can’t screw too much up, also many writers have to start somewhere. As Millar said he wrote a great action script and thats all that matters. I wish him luck and love the series. I can’t wait to see what craziness Wanted 2 has to offer us.
