TV News: Two Smallville Regulars Not Seeing Ninth Season

Entertainment Weekly’s Mike Ausiello has discovered from an insider on the show that two pivotal characters will die and he says that both of these deaths will be the real deal.

“Multiple sources confirm to me exclusively that two pivotal characters will bite the dust in this May’s season finale. And in a bit of a departure for Smallville, both deaths will stick. “These characters will die and they will stay dead,” maintains my insider. “This is the real deal.”

“Eh, one more little tease won’t hurt anyone: One character qualifies as a Smallville vet… the other one, not so much.”

I would have to assume Chloe will be the “vet” cast member to get the death but for a few reasons. Since Smallville is integrating itself into more of the comic lore material it would make sense to rid Chloe in the universe since she is not an offical part of the Superman mythology. Also in this season’s episode Legion, it was mentioned that the death of Chloe may have contributed to Clark’s motivation to becoming Superman. After speaking with Adam, I would have to assume that Sam Witer’s human alter ego, Davis Bloome will get the grind as well.

Lastly, get ready for the ninth season because I am sure that Chloe will be replaced by Lois Lane’s little sister, who has made an appearance in the show before, in which point a possible romance will spark between her and Jimmy Olsen, after all Olsen probably would want to keep it in the family.
