Portman and Pitt to star in Romantic Comedy ‘Artifacts’
While Natalie Portman’s fate in the Thor franchise is still up in the air we do know now that one of next projects will be with Brad Pitt in a new romantic comedy from Paramount. The film is based of a novel that was just recently published by Farrar Straus & Giroux.
The novel titled, Important Artifacts and Personal Property from the Collection of Lenore Doolan and Harold Morris, Including Books, Street Fashion, and Jewelry is a love story about 2 fictious characters Lenore and Harold.
Portman will play Lenore, a NY Times columnist, and Pitt will play Harold, a Photographer.
Variety reports,
“The book takes the form of Sotheby’s-like estate auction catalog, with 325 entries and photographs depicting items that reveal the private moments and the rise and fall of a four-year relationship between the fictitious couple Hal Morris (a 40ish photographer) and Lenore Doolan, (a New York Times food columnist in her late 20s). The project will be developed as a romantic comedy, with Pitt to play Morris, and Portman to play Doolan.”
This is another interesting romantic comedy floating around and may have to be a book that should read. I love Natalie Portman and think she will be great with this character. Pitt is a cooly guy and will most likely do well as this character. The movie itself seems like Breakfast at Tiffany’s or rather has the style of that film.
