Scott Eastwood joins Father Clint Eastwood’s Nelson Mandela Rugby Film!
Source: THR
Clint Eastwood’s son, Scott, will be joining the cast of the upcoming and “untitled” Nelson Mandela drama starring Morgan Freeman and MATT Damon.
The film is based on the true life events of how Mandela, as the new South African president, worked with the captain of the national rugby team, Francois Pienaar, to help unite the country after apartheid. Eastwood will play a member of Pienaar’s team, which makes a run at the 1995 World Cup Championship. The film will be directed by poppa Eastwood [Clint].
South African writer Anthony Peckham adapted the screenplay from John Carlin’s book, “Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Made a Nation.”
Scott Eastwood, often credited as, “Scott Reeves,” has previously appeared in the other Clint-helmed projects, “Gran Torino” and “Flags of Our Fathers.”
I am interested in seeing the film, but not for Scott Eastwood.
