Ghostbusters 3 gets Judd Apatow to Produce

Doug Belgrad, President of Columbia Pictures, has debunked this story, saying:

“It’s not true,” says Doug Belgrad, president of Columbia Pictures. “We have some great new writers working on a new script, but Judd isn’t involved. Judging from the frenzy on the Internet, there still seems to be plenty of interest in the idea of doing another film, so we’re certainly taking that as a good sign.”

So Twitter is becoming a massively great source for information especially about upcoming film projects. According to Production Weekly on Twitter, who we are following, Judd Apatow has signed on to produce Ghostbusters 3.

We received this story through from our friends over at /Film and like them we are not shocked by the news.

I would expect to see Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Romany Malco and Steve Carrell in the film or at least those are the Apatow crew members I would like to see.
