Fused Photos: New Astro Boy Promo Image

MTV Splash Page has debuted a new promo image from Astro Boy, which is set for release on October 28.

“Set in futuristic Metro City, Astro Boy is about a young robot with incredible powers created by a brilliant scientist. Powered by positive “blue” energy, Astro Boy is endowed with super strength, x-ray vision, unbelievable speed and the ability to fly. Embarking on a journey in search of acceptance, Astro Boy learns the joys and emotions of being human, and gains the strength to embrace his destiny. Ultimately learning his friends and family are in danger,Astro Boy marshals his awesome super powers and returns to Metro City in a valiant effort to save everything he cares about and to understand what it takes to be a hero.”

I loved animated films and I can’t wait to see this movie! Astro Boy rules! Besides Kristen Bell is doing a voice so that is enough for me. For those who are unaware the film is based off a Japenese manga and television series from the late 1950s by Japan’s Osamu Tezuka, known as the “god of manga” and “father of anime”, and as been the hero of three acclaimed animated television series aired around the world.

Besides Ms. Bell -  Freddie Highmore will be voicing the main character with supporting voices provided by, Nicolas Cage, Matt Lucas, Eugene Levy, Nathan Lane, Bill Nighy and Donald Sutherland.
