Bryce Dallas Howard and Common Talk Comic Movies

Source: Fresh Ink! Online

“Terminator Salvation” stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Common both talked to  G4′s Blair Butler about comic book adaptations during Wonder Con in San Francisco.

Howard talked about her affection for comic book creators, the Luna Brothers.

“I love the Luna Brothers,” said Howard. “If there ever was an adaptation of ‘The Sword’ that would be incredible.”

Howard, no stranger to comic book movies, starred as Gwen Stacy in “Spider-Man 3” and mentioned that she emailed the Brothers telling them how much she loved their work.

“The Sword” is a modern day fairy tale involving a red-haired college student named Dara Brighton whose life is changed forever when three strangers knock on her door claiming she has a mystical sword that is rightfully their own. The series, according to the Luna Brothers’ website, is for people who like “Kill Bill” and “Highlander.”

Previously, Howard talked with us about being ready for “Spider-Man 4” come 2011 and geeked out at Comic-Con International.

Rapper/actor Common also spoke to Blair Butler about possibly portraying John Stewart in a Green Lantern movie. He told G4 that he would still love to play the role, explaining how he was cast to be the only African-American member of the Green Lantern Corps in the now defunct Justice League film.

I would love to see either one in these comic book adaptations. I love the Luna Brothers, and currently Green Lantern is in my opinion the best book DC Comics is publishing.

I’m cool with Bryce Dallas Howard, and Common is my favorite artists, but I can’t really see Common as John Stewart. I’d rather see Chiewetel Ejiofor and Idris Elba.
