TV News: Anne Heche to join HBO’s Hung
Anne Heche has recently been added to the cast of HBO’s new series Hung. Hung was created by Dmitry Lipkin, Colette Burson, and director Alexander Payne. The show’s initial order is 10 episodes. It is a dark comedy focusing on Ray, a ”well-hung” coach of a struggling basketball team. Ray is portrayed by Thomas Jane. Anne Heche is playing the role of Ray’s ex-wife. She will be replacing the actress from the pilot, Kristin Bauer. Bauer’s scenes in the pilot will be reshot with Heche. Production is scheduled to begin in mid-March with a premiere slated for June. Incidentally, Heche, whose second child is due the spring, will also be seen opposite Ashton Kutcher in the romantic comedy Spread. Spread premiered at Sundance last month and was purchased by Anchor Bay.
