Dwayne Johnson to Play Race Bannon in Johnny Quest Movie

The original source coming from Moviehole, this is very interesting news especially the part about Zac Efron. Now there is a running joke on the site about Efron as I proposed he would be the type of silly casting decision for Wally West. I picked the silly decision just not the right project. Now there is something to be looked at here, according to those who have read Dan Mazeau’s script of Johnny Quest, they say it is awesome. The Rock is perfect to play Brock Samson or Race Bannon – minus the white hair. Personally I am a Venture Brothers fan so Brock Samson is something I’d prefer to see in live action form. Zac Efron would make sense from a marketing and “teen draw” standpoint but I think his age is the biggest problem a seventeen year old playing an 11 year old? Hey Jonathan Taylor Thomas has been playing teenagers for years do I guess it could work. However in terms of modernizing the story it may make sense but I personally believe there is someone better to play Johnny but The Rock is the way to go for Bannon.
