TV News: Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J in an NCIS spinoff!

Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J are both in talks to star in a planned NCIS spinoff show.

The pilot episode would air as an episode of NCIS this spring, similar to how NCIS had its pilot episode air as an episode of JAG. O’Donnell would play Callen, an average guy who is an expert undercover agent, easily adopting one identity after another.  LL Cool J is being considered for the role of former Navy Seal Sam Hannah, a smooth toughguy.  CBS has been anxious to use LL Cool J since signing him to  development deal in 2006.  So far, that led to a 2007 pilot entitled The Man.

I am not a big fan of NCIS, but I think O’Donnell’s a fine actor.  Plus, if this will stop LL Cool J from making more horrible rap albums, I’m all for it.

    I WISH he was just doing Old Spice ads. He put out an awful album last year called Exit 13, which is exactly what he should do, exit the rap game.

    Actually Exit 13 was a pretty good album. There were a few bad songs but definitely better than 80% of the rap albums that came out last year. I copped it. And I bumped it too.

    We’ll have to agree to disagree, Linwood. That “Baby” single was garbage. I don’t care for LL and most of that mainstream garbage. I think TI had a very solid album, and there was lots of good underground hip-hop to come out last year.
