Tomb Raider is Returning to the Big Screen!
Warner Brother Wants a Reboot of the Lara Croft Series!
Warners Bros. and producer Dan Lin are in the early stages of developing a revamping the popular video game action franchise, Tomb Raider. This comes just a few days after the rumor was that Meagan Fox would replace Angelina Jolie as the character.
The Hollywood Reporter says the project is “expected to revamp the character and her mission and bear little resemblance to the original pictures that starred Angelina Jolie”: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle Of Life.
“The new project will reimagine the origins of the character, her love interest and the main villain.
As an open-writing assignment, the project is still in its nascent stages. An actress who could play the role Angelina Jolie made famous would likely come on after a writer and director are attached.“
Well maybe the Meagan Fox rumor isn’t that far off or at least the part where the rumor said the wanted to re-vamp the series. I say go for it, lock Fox up and lets see what they come up with. I am not opposed to a better more accurate portrayal of the character it worked for Bond and Batman.
